Hoopla Helps TEDx Seattle
The mission of TEDxSeattle is to create events and gatherings that are self-sustaining and enrich our audience, our speakers, our volunteers and our partners. In the spirit of TED’s Ideas Worth Spreading, TEDxSeattle is a unique gathering for the Greater Seattle community. The all-volunteer staff seeks to create events that are educational, inspiring, and motivational.
Hoopla’s founders, Stacia and Carolyn, were welcomed into the leadership of this volunteer organization to co-chair Salons, Adventures & Special Events. In this capacity during the COVID-19 outbreak, they plan to:
Rejuvenate Salons with ever more dynamic venues, entertainment and speakers
Launch post-shelter-in-place Adventures to reunite the TEDx community
Experiment with virtual reality digital happy hours at scale that tackle local topics with PNW personalities
Optimize a new Special Events function for VIPs, speakers and other volunteers to improve satisfaction and engagement
